JOSEPH BALDER was born in Peterwetz, Prussia, on the 17th of November, 1841. In 1870, his parents came to America, and the year following, to this town, where Mr. Balder took the farm on which he now lives. He married Miss Johanna Barron on the 27th of January, 1875. They have had four children, three of whom are now living.
