Last week a prairie fire in Langola, Benton county, came sweeping down near the dwelling of Jacob Woolhart, endangering the buildings and fences. Mrs. Woolhart was at home alone, and in attempting to arrest the flames her dress took fire. She had the presence of mind to throw herself on the ground and roll over till she smothered the flames. She was somewhat but not seriously burned.
