ST. CLOUD, Minn., Aug. 18.—A meeting of the prominent Republicans of Benton county was held at Foley Saturday afternoon, and the matter of a complete county ticket was discussed. The opinion prevailed that a full ticket should be placed in the field, and the list decided upon contains these names: S. F. Madden, Foley, representative; Will Stewart, Granite Ledge, treasurer; J. F. Lance, judge of probate; J. A. Senn, Sauk Rapids, attorney; O. F. Peterson, East St. Cloud, superintendent of schools; J. P. Hirt, Maywood, sheriff; Wayland Miller, Sauk Rapids, clerk of court.
It is understood that Mssrs. Lance, Hirt, Stewart and Madden will decline, and in such an event Ald. O. F. Doyle, of the Fifth ward, of this city, will be the Republican candidate for representative.
